In Indian scenario, the most common Functional gastrointestinal disorders (FGIDs) responsible for a majority of the referral to a pediatrician are infantile colic (16%), and constipation (3 - 5%). Further, these conditions often lead to recurrent hospitalization, feeding changes, use of drugs, parental anxiety, and loss of parental working days further affecting the quality of life of infants as well as their parents.
In this regard, we would like to know your views regarding these FGIDs and your preferred therapy for their management.
