Doctors today are more prone to mental health problems than any other profession. In a report by Indian Medical Association published in 2018, four out of five Indian doctors feel fear, of which every second doctor attributes this fear to Phobophobia viz fear of violence. Moreover, 82.7% of the doctors felt panic-driven, while as many as 57.7% had thought of hiring security personnel in their premises.
Phobophobia is followed by atychiphobia in about 24.2% and hypengyophobia and politicophobia in about 13.7% of the doctors.
