The emergence of resistance to drugs used in the treatment of tuberculosis (TB), especially multidrug-resistant TB (MDR-TB), has become a significant public health problem in various countries and is also an obstacle to effective TB control. In India the rate of MDR-TB is relatively low, however, the management of patients with MDR-TB is inadequate. The term “Programmatic Management of Drug Resistant TB” (PMDT) , refers to programme based MDR-TB diagnosis, management and treatment. In this webinar,  Dr.

N D Deshmukh and  Dr. Vaibhav V Shah will talk about the 'PMDT Guidelines: Managing Drug-Resistant TB'. We invite you to submit your questions which will be answered by the speakers at the end of the session.
