According to recent findings outlined in a clinical trial presented at the American Heart Association Scientific Sessions 2020, polypill, when combined with aspirin, was observed to lower cardiovascular disease (CVD) risk. The novel polypill consists of 100 mg atenolol, 10 mg ramipril, 25 mg hydrochlorothiazide, and 40 mg simvastatin.

The International Polycap Study (TIPS)-3 was conducted in nine countries with a sample size of 5700 subjects suffering from CVD.
