After the COVID-19 outbreak, a majority of the patients who have survived the infection continue to battle the symptoms of the infection long after they have been clinically tested negative for the disease. The most challenging part is to manage COVID-19 sequelae, which may vary from fatigue and body aches to post-COVID lung involvement in the form of pulmonary fibrosis. A substantial proportion of the population needs to be vaccinated to achieve herd immunity against COVID-19. One of the goals of attaining herd immunity is to keep the vulnerable groups - who cannot get vaccinated - safe and protected from the disease.
