This article gives an overview of the study aimed to evaluate the efficacy of the preoperative pulmonary rehabilitation (PPR) before lung cancer surgery. Study background Lung cancer is a progressive disease. Although the overall five-year survival is poor, targeted therapeutics, early detection, and multidisciplinary approaches to diagnosis and management have shown improved outcomes. Recently used pulmonary rehabilitation (PR) in perioperative period has shown to decrease postoperative complications as well as the length of the hospital stay in patients who underwent lung resection.
