The Private Employed Doctors of Kerala, a new committee formed by private hospital doctors, have demanded a minimum salary of ₹1 lakh for MBBS doctors and ₹3 lakh for the specialist doctors. Doctors themselves know that they are underpaid even in the private hospitals and some are yet to get their salaries of the past 6 months.
