Peripheral neuropathy is commonly observed in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. Although the cause is usually attributed to diabetic complications and the management focuses on glycemic control, neuropathy can often result from comorbidities and underlying conditions, including nutrient deficiency and cancer chemotherapy. 1,2 Therefore, it is critical to identify the exact cause contributing to neuropathy symptoms with thorough examinations and recommend the appropriate course of management.
