World Rabies Day is observed every year on the 28th of September , the death anniversary of Louis Pasteur - the creator of the first rabies vaccine, to raise awareness and eliminate rabies globally with the joint alliance of people and various organizations. With the world struggling to fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, doubts and fears about the virus and vaccine are common among the masses. The same has been true for rabies for centuries.

Therefore, this year’s theme, “Rabies: Facts, Not Fear” , focuses on sharing facts about rabies and avoiding spreading misinformation about the disease.
