r an expert review by AIIMS New Delhi examined the maternal deaths reported in Kota. The investigation highlighted gaps in the implementation of existing standard operating procedures (SOPs), particularly within labor rooms, operating theaters, and other high-risk clinical settings. Based on these findings, the state has directed all institutions to reinforce adherence to nationally recommended protocols.
Medical colleges have been instructed to develop department-specific SOPs aligned with guidance issued by the National Medical Commission, the Indian Council of Medical Research, and the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. These protocols must be circulated among faculty members, residents, nursing teams, and other healthcare personnel. Departments are also expected to organize regular training sessions and clinical discussions to promote consistent implementation.โฆ
