I am having one pt aged 50 yrs -post menopausal with almost six episodes of herpes genitalis with the complaints of severe pruritus vulval region and redness and linear crack lesions. Tested for HIV, Diabetes found negative. She received tab.famcyclovir 500mg bid for 10days & local application of acyclovir cream every time and got relieved.
Hsvtype 2 igG antibodies positive .igM negative&husband also treated with same course.They stopped sexual life -still she is suffering. What is the next step to stop the recurrences?
