Answer: Please note that senior lecturer is qualified and do not work under HOD as residents do. HOD is senior to him administratively but in professional work, senior lecturer is independent.
So, in case of alleged negligence in case of an operation which is done by him, senior lecturer himself is responsible. But HOD will be vicariously responsible in a civil suit but not in a criminal suit. Share your views.
