Down syndrome shares the major part of the burden of genetic disease in children in India. There are several antenatal screening for detecting the genetic anomaly in the fetus. Ultrasonographic imaging is the most popular and effective non-invasive method to screen for this abnormalities. Sometimes, additional blood tests are also needed to confirm the sonographic finding.
