First 'Hands on training workshop on SR #PPH suction cannula application' was done at Government maternity hospital (GMH) SVMC Thirupathi in November 2017. Their experience with SR cannula in preventing and treating PPH was presented at AP Health Festival - 2018 at Vishakhapatnam which bagged the first prize and the certificate of excellence. They presented their success story of 23 cases of atonic PPH, in whom all available methods failed. After this workshop, laparotomy became very rare for #PPH in this institution.

50 deliveries occur a day and SR cannula is being used regularly for PPH. Last 2 batches of PG students (Two and half years) have not seen #BLynch procedure for #PPH in this institution.
