We do have cases of ROP which occur in premature children with low birth rate who are put in an incubator in NICU and exposed to oxygen. It is very important that these premature children should be examined by pediatric ophthalmologist to exclude RIP by doing indirect ophthalmoscopy ROP pathogenesis is due to retinal endothelial gestational factors which occur in premature children and are risk factors for ROP.
