Cosmetic surgery is a particularly intense psychological experience because, in addition to the usual concerns about surgical side effects, cosmetic patients bring their hopes and expectations for improved self-image. This increases the chances of the lawsuit against plastic surgeons.

Same can be true for other surgeons at least in high-risk surgeries. Should the surgeons engage a lawyer before surgery to avoid unnecessary or unworthy claims by the patient?
