In today's era of smartphones, many of our patients are showing us reports in their mobile. This is so easy and convenient to them that this is almost becoming a routine, but as a clinician, I myself find it very difficult to pop into the small screens of mobile. This has become standard practice as most of the diagnostic centers are sending reports via SMS or email. I think at times viewing a report in a device like mobile can lead to incomplete viewing or missing some important points.
I think this too needs to be restricted. This definitely saves paper but can lead to problems at times and waste time also, as they will keep searching their mobile in front of you and keep you waiting. Good amount of patients education is required for this. I am absolutely pro-technology but I don't like this and looking for some good initiative s to stop this without annoying anyone.
