A six-year-old boy presented with his mother who had just noticed the appearance of a few spots on his hands in the past 24 hours. His mother thought that he had been slightly unwell and he had a reduced appetite. On examination, there were several small erythematous lesions on both palms which were slightly tender to touch, and on examination of his feet, there were similar lesions on the soles. There were also some lesions on his palate.
