A 3 months old child came to me with the complaint of not gaining weight.his birth weight was 3kg. and at first visit a few days back it was 3.5 kg. The baby was on bottle feed. He was advised not to give bottle feed try to breast feed and spoon feed. Parents had CBC report with them which was normal.
Today morning mother came with the complaint that Baby is having loose stools and excessive cry accepting breastfeed no vomiting, no fever.his weight was 3.7 kg. He was advised pcm drops and simethicone, Syp colistin. Baby took feed twice at home and he was brought dead after four hrs from the morning time. I find at that time Baby had hepatomegaly around four fingers. What could have happened to the baby?
