Iron isomaltoside was more effective when compared with iron sucrose in ensuring a rapid improvement in Hemoglobin (Hb) and other iron-related parameters reported a new study published in American Journal of Hematology. A recent study which aimed to compare the efficacy and safety of iron isomaltoside against iron sucrose in gynecology patients with Iron deficiency anemia (IDA) reported that larger doses of iron isomaltoside can be administered within a shorter time to achieve full iron correction and its administration was well tolerated.
