Burnout is caused by a failure to manage stress at the workplace that results in increased mental distance from work, decreased professional efficacy, and exhaustion. The prevalence of burnout among dentists has been reported in India, the USA, and the UK. Now researchers from King’s College, London, have studied burnout among dentists in Singapore for the first time. 1 Study A cross-sectional online questionnaire survey was conducted in Singapore, with 2292 dentists practicing in 2018. Among them, 210 dentists (Females – 58.6%, males – 40.9%, and undisclosed – 0.5%; Aged – 23 to >60 years old) completed the survey.
