A multidisciplinary oncology team in Bengaluru has reported what they believe is India's first successful limb salvage procedure in a 28-day-old infant with infantile fibrosarcoma, offering an alternative to amputation in an exceptionally rare and challenging case. The infant was born in December 2024 with a small 3 cm swelling on the right hand that enlarged dramatically to more than 11 cm within weeks.
