Cardiac surgeons at Medanta Hospital in Indore successfully excised a giant right atrial myxoma measuring approximately 9.5 × 5.5 × 4 cm and weighing about 180 g from a 75 year old man, in what the treating team believes may be among the largest surgically removed right atrial myxomas reported in India. The patient presented with progressive shortness of breath, chest pain, dizziness, lower limb edema, abdominal swelling, and abnormal liver function tests. Although preoperative imaging suggested a cardiac mass, its true size became evident only after surgical removal.
