The Medical Education Department has appointed Dr Jagannath Dixit as the state brand ambassador for tackling diabetes and obesity. Dr. Dixit’s theory of diet plan has become viral these days. His theory of 'Two-meals-a-day' was initially drafted by late Dr Shrikant Jichkar, which Dr. Dixit has taken forward. Dr.
Dixit’s theory is based on having just 2 meals per day. Increase in insulin levels in blood generally after meals, triggers diabetes, obesity and type 2 diabetes. Thus, he suggested this diet plan to avoid these associated disorders.
