Introduction Monsoon favors the occurrence of vector-borne diseases due to the suitable climate for vectors to proliferate. Vector-borne diseases are caused by parasites , bacteria , or viruses and account for more than 700,000 deaths annually. Children are more prone to these infections due to comparatively weaker immunity than adults. Major vector-borne infections seen in children include malaria, dengue, chikungunya, yellow fever, etc. This article discusses a few common management strategies for three major vector-borne diseases.
