Although few references suggest quackery as a fraudulent medical practice, often it becomes difficult to know a quack. For instance, if a practitioner earns a degree in a stream that is different from allopathy but prescribes an allopathic medicine, say due to the emergency or limited resource settings, do we call him as a quack?
