Clinical scenario: A 41 yr old female was admitted with a history of a cough and expectoration of 3 weeks duration. She would cough out 1/2 to 1 Cups daily without any postural relation. A cough was purulent, foul-smelling and she denied any hemoptysis. There was no weight loss or loss of appetite. Past history: She is non-diabetic and had no history of allergies.Two years back she had been admitted with similar complaints in a local hospital and was managed as community acquired pneumonia and was discharged home.
After that, she would off and on get cough with expectorations and was following at a local hospital.
