We run a chain of   primary healthcare clinics in rural areas. We have been witnessing an upsurge in the cases of enteric fever among adults and children. We have been using Tab Cefixime 400 mg BD for the treatment, but are observing that in many cases, fever takes more than a week to subside. Are you also seeing such a pattern too?

What other alternatives to cefixime do you use in your practice? Any other advice?
