Amongst all the bones, sternum is the least common bone to get affected by tuberculosis (TB). Out of all skeletal TB, only 1% involves the sternum.1 Even though TB is a common infective complication in solid organ transplant recipients especially in developing countries, yet sternal TB seems to be rare.
We have described a renal transplant recipient who presented with a chest swelling diagnosed as sternal TB. To the best of our knowledge, this may be the first such case reported in a renal transplant recipient.
