Urinary tract infections are the second most common infections causing considerable discomfort and morbidity. Patients with chronic kidney disease are more prone to have urinary tract infections. This article highlights the complications involved in the management of urinary tract infection in patients with chronic renal impairment. Urinary tract infection (UTI) is the most common infection in patients who are diabetic, immunocompromised and have anatomic abnormalities.
