Urosepsis is a life threatening sequelae of complicated urinary tract infections. The mortality rates are significant and can be reduced with timely diagnosis and appropriate interventions. Urosepsis is a clinical condition that arises due to uncontrolled urinary tract infection leading to a scenario of severe sepsis with the focus of infection originating in the urinary tract. An underlying complicated urinary tract infection leads to involvement of the renal parenchyma and other urogenital organs. The infection spills over into the blood stream and results in septicaemia.
