A previously well 79-year-old woman presented with the acute onset of coffee-ground emesis. She has no previous history of alcohol intake, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug use, gastro-esophageal reflux disease, or ingestion of corrosive agents. Urgent esophagogastroduodenoscopy was done.
