Perhaps it may be a rare situation when the prestigious institution of government was fined for negligence by various departments including ophthalmology, ENT, Medicine and Cardiology in treating a patient with multiple problems who ultimately died. Few highlights which are worth taking lessons in this case are A patient was discharged from ophthalmology department with BP 80/50 mmHg instead of referring to the cardiology department. An opinion of an expert of government medical college who found no negligence was rejected and opinion of an independent cardiologist who found negligence was accepted.

It appeared that every department has treated the problem of patient pertaining to their department only without paying attention towards the problem of other departments. This is usually experienced while taking treatment from superspecialist. What is your opinion on this case?
