NO PROOF OF MEDICAL NEGLIGENCE BY BRD DOCTOR - HC Reads the headline today. The case dates back to August 10-11 2017. The doctor was a nodal officer in govt run medical college Gorakhpur - a conscientious professor of paediatrics. He committed a crime - arranging oxygen cylinders and paying from his own pocket - when these were not available in medical college hospital. The supplier refused to supply because he was not paid by the govt. Media highlighted the shortage of oxygen. So, govt wanted to find a scapegoat.
The doctor was arrested and put behind bars. After spending 8 months in Jail now he has been granted bail by Allahabad high court. The observation by High court judge- There is no negligence. Police itself says that death was not because of a shortage of oxygen. Still, the govt booked the doctor. My query is who will restore the image of the doctor. Who will compensate him…
