Recently MCI has reduced the minimum eligibility criteria for medical teachers in which basic qualification MBBS has not mentioned anywhere MD/MS with teaching experience and research publication is mentioned but in many colleges, non medical persons as MSc Medicine without studying any medicine subject are being appointed showing pseudo-deficiency of medical teachers. However Qualified Doctors are available with the government with clinical experience of practicing medicine which is more required than merely having teaching experience in teaching and on spot training of medical students.
