According to WHO, an estimated 262 million people were affected by asthma in 2019. The burden of asthma-related morbidity and mortality is particularly high in low and middle-income countries. This World Asthma Day, the Global Initiative for Asthma (GINA), in collaboration with WHO, has chosen the “Asthma Care for All” theme to raise awareness about asthma.
