Human blood is one of the most precious life-saving component, as there is no substitute. Blood transfusion is the only intervention for saving lives of individuals who need it, because what can replace blood is blood. However, there is a scarcity of blood in India due to the shortage of active donors and also due to increasing demands of blood in the society.
