Antiplatelet therapy is one of the key therapies in the management of acute coronary syndromes. Several clinical studies have established the importance of antiplatelet therapy in the management of non-ST and ST-elevation myocardial infarction and in a percutaneous coronary intervention based on a reduction in the number of deaths, reinfarction, and adverse cardiac events.
