An 85-year-old female patient presented with a sudden painless decreased vision in the right eye. She noted a sudden-onset darkening of her central vision surrounded by a gray ring-like pattern in her right eye. She denies any eye pain, diplopia, redness, or a headache. She has no history of ocular trauma, transient ischemic attacks, or neurologic symptoms. She had no associated photopsias, metamorphopsia, or new floaters.
Past Ocular History: Ocular hypertension Pseudoexfoliation Cataract surgery OD Nuclear sclerotic cataract OS Fundoscopic evaluation and fundus fluorescein angiography (FFA) were performed which revealed a rare ophthalmic condition (images attached).
