Case presentation A 32-year-old female gravida 2, para 1, presented to the antenatal care in an obstetric unit with the complaint of an occasional left-sided, lower abdominal pain. She was at nine weeks of gestation. History One uncomplicated vaginal delivery nine years ago Absence of virilization No significant gynecological history Initial consultation During the initial consultation, an ultrasound examination revealed an ovarian mass. The cancer antigen 125 (Ca 125) test revealed a value of 265 kU/L.
An abdominal/pelvic CT scan revealed an ovarian cyst of size 100 × 80 × 80 mm with solid nodules along the cyst wall. No ascites was indicated. Furthermore, the scan revealed a normal right ovary and no lymphadenopathy or peritoneal enhancement (Image A).
