A 39-year-old female reported to the emergency department with severe pain in the right upper abdomen associated with tea-colored urine, generalized jaundice, nausea, and vomiting. No fever or acholic stools were reported. She experienced severe abdominal pain four days before the admission but could not consult immediately due to the COVID-19 lockdown.
Medical history The patient had a 5-year history of intermittent pain in the right upper quadrant of the abdomen, partially relieved by antispasmodics and pain relievers. The patient was diagnosed with gallstones earlier but could not undergo surgery due to financial constraints.
