A team of doctors from Abu Dhabi has successfully performed a rare tricuspid valve surgery on a 77-year-old Emirati lady. This minimally invasive surgery using advances in imaging technology has made it possible to get a good view of the valve percutaneously, thereby helping the previously untreatable patients. A geriatric patient was successfully treated for tricuspid valve regurgitation with a new minimally invasive surgery for the first time.
