Common Variable Immune Deficiency (CVID) is an ailment categorized by the inability of B lymphocytes to distinguish plasma cells proficient of secreting all immunoglobulin types. About 25% of patients with CVID will present in childhood or adolescence, often with allergic disease, recurrent sinopulmonary infections, and autoimmune cytopenia. Case presentation          An 11-year-old girl was brought to the pulmonary clinic for the first time when she was six, with a history of a lingering, persistent cough and wheeze, most notably in the winters.

The parents reported that the girl had  coughing at night and exercise-induced wheezing, which was treated with albuterol.
