A 13-year-old boy presented to an orthopedic clinic with a 1-week history of bilateral knee pain. Patient history The patient was active in sports and had participated in a long jump competition six months ago. The patient reported no previous history of trauma, fever, or any other joint symptoms. Physical examination Mild soft tissue swelling in the right knee Tenderness over the tibial tubercle The left knee appeared normal.
Radiograph analysis Plain radiographs of both the knees revealed Sclerosis The tibial tubercle in both knees showed fragmentation. The right knee soft tissue swelling was also confirmed.
