Nosocomial infections (NIs), also known as hospital-acquired infections (HAIs), are likely to spread across the hospital during patients’ stay , increasing their stay length as well as the morbidity and mortality rates. Parasitic, fungal, and bacterial infections are managed mostly with antimicrobials. However, antimicrobial-resistant nosocomial infections are becoming more common in Middle Eastern nations, a growing cause of concern among healthcare practitioners.
