Ankle sprains are the most common sports injury accounting for 10% to 15% of sport-related injuries and are responsible for 7% to 10% of all emergency room visits. In order to render appropriate treatment, a proper evaluation must be made. This article outlines some tools to assist in the assessment and evaluation of ankle injuries in athletes.
