An 18-year-old obese woman presented to the ED with complaints of constant abdominal pain. The patient rated the pain as 6 out of 10 on a numerical pain scale. She further added that the pain had started 3 days earlier, while she was having her breakfast. Additionally, she also detailed that the pain was so intense that she became nauseated and started vomiting.
However, presently, the pain was intermittent and localized to the right lower quadrant of her abdomen.
