Many surgeons complain that they fatigue quite easily while performing surgeries. A nagging back pain, tiredness, crampy legs and headache, these are the often heard symptoms amongst surgeon's circle. I have seen some elderly surgeons including my teachers - diabetics and hypertensives sweating profusely and tired during surgeries. I have also come across instances where surgeons keep operating while pondering over a stressful issue at home or work unrelated to patient or treatment.
Apparently, most would not allow these things to interfere in conducting successful surgical procedures.
