In a highly competitive environment of today, more and more surgeons have resorted to  operating at more than one hospital. The prevailing view is that this will help in augmenting the financial income and also create a wider patient base. Many argue that this will remove the dependency on one particular hospital. Some of the surgeons travel long distances, often to different towns to operate. Many a times they are found navigating the busy lanes of a large cities shuffling between hospitals while getting themselves ready for a complicated surgery In my opinion this is a harmful trend for the well being of surgeons.
