Moderate to severe plaque psoriasis can significantly impair quality of life, though evidence on patient-reported outcomes (PROs) alongside clinical measures remains limited. To address this gap, a study evaluated PROs in 743 patients treated with bimekizumab. The study found that a higher proportion of bimekizumab- vs secukinumab-treated patients reported no itching (34.0% vs 25.1%), no skin pain (74.5% vs 60.0%), and no scaling (46.1% vs 21.6%) at week 4, with differences maintained at year 1 (itching: 60.9% vs 48.1%; skin pain: 78.6% vs 70.8%; scaling: 70.5% vs 49.7%).
Concurrent Psoriasis Area and Severity Index (PASI) = 0 and Dermatology Life Quality Index (DLQI) scores 0/1 achievement was higher with bimekizumab at week 4 (11.5% vs 4.6%) and year 1 (61.7% vs 42.7%). High response rates were sustained to year 3, with PASI = 0 and DLQI 0/1 achieved in 62.2% of continuous…
